Commercial Auto Insurance

Commercial Auto Vehicle InsuranceMany construction businesses rely on vehicles to reach their job sites and customers. Whether you are delivering materials or going to meet with your client, you need to do so in a timely fashion. By purchasing commercial vehicle insurance, you can protect your business from the losses that can be sustained if something should happen to one of your commercial vehicles.

All vehicles used by contractors for business should be insured under a Commercial Auto Policy. This policy is designed to dove tail with your Contractor Liability and provide for some exposures that the liability doesn’t cover such as damage done from loading or unloading. All too often Contractors have their autos insured on a Personal Auto Policy which may include a “Business Use” exclusion leaving dangerous gaps in your protection.

If your business is an entity other than a Sole Proprietor you must have the vehicles titled in the name of the business to avoid other dangerous gaps in protection and to make sure you and your business are protected correctly.
